Riston has always been a huge fan of rodeo but it wasn’t until he found his love for the microphone in high school that he realized he wanted to be a rodeo announcer. In the fall of 2007 he co-announced the NDSU Bison Stampede Rodeo. Following that experience he attended Chad Nicholson’s Rodeo Announcing School in Ft. Worth, TX. Through that training Riston has not only gained knowledge of the Rodeo Announcing business and how to put fans in the seats but has also gained the confidence and professionalism to bring a positive atmosphere to rodeo.
Riston has a love of music that he brings to his announcing to assist in maintaining a positive and exciting atmosphere. He maintains a large music library filled with up to date music and classic country hits which he uses to assist his rodeo announcing. |
